Clicking add to cart refreshes page

Hi

I have an issue where everytime I click the “Add to Cart” button (using the WooCommerce plugin), the page refreshes and has to go through the whole preloader process. The item adds fine to the basket but this occurs when adding every product to the cart and is a pain to have to deal with.

I have already scoured the internet and found people advising to ensure the “enable Ajax for Add to Cart” is ticked in WooCommerce settings - it is - so I am unsure how I can go about fixing this.

Any help would be appreciated with this problem. Thanks.

Good morning

First of all, make sure you have enabled ajax for add to cart enabled, secondly if ajax is enabled and you still can’t add products without refresh then deactivate all third party plugins and try again your problem, most probably this I conflict with third-party plugins.
Once you deactivate all plugins please check your problem again, if the problem is gone then this means it was a plugin conflict. Now, start activating plugins one by one and same time repeat your problem until your problem appears again, now you know which plugin was in conflict

Thanks for the reply, I deactivated all plugins and tried to check if the issue had gone but it is still there

Sorry to say but looks like Illdy theme is not ready to use Ajax add to cart feature :frowning: By default this theme is not ready to use Woocommerce shop out of the box, even our demo doesn’t have shop feature and I think this is the problem you have right now, if you want shop feature on your site i would suggest using Tyche theme which is fully compatible to woocommerce

However, this does not mean you can’t use Woocommerce with Illduy, the features that are no included by default in the theme can be added and extended by the third party plugins and you can do the same :slight_smile:
