Comment Section Missing From Blog Posts

I was about to test the comments when I saw I can’t leave a comment to a post. The section does not appear and I’ve checked the standard Wordpress locations for “allow comments” and they are all checked but “leave reply” doesn’t appear on desktop or mobile pages.
Is there code to turn on comments?

You’ll see there is no comments section of any kind.

Hi,

  1. First make sure you enable comments globally for future posts, Settings -> Discussions, make sure you enable Comments.
  2. Edit that post in the Dashboard, and in that edit screen you will see Screen Options in the top right corner, there, choose Discussion http://take.ms/V024S
  3. After that, you will see a box appear below the post editor http://take.ms/B9lArM make sure you choose “Allow comments”

Hi,

Also, make sure none of the plugins change any settings, try disable all the plugins at once and see that fixes the issue, if so, enable it one by one and see which cause the issue.

Hi Laranz, everything checks out - all the boxes are correctly checked. Disabled ALL plugins - no change. Still no comments. Never saw this kind of problem before. Any ideas? Any magic css to “turn on” comments?
