Hi everybody,
I am using Travelify for quite a time now and love it. I am the webmaster of a non-commercial fishing club in Bavaria Germany. I got everything working so far but have to tell that I am not a Wordpress Pro.
We use the paid “Event Calender Plugin” and have a problem with the overview page.
I already spoke with their supporters and they told me that it is a problem with the theme.
The calender overview should look like this:
https://www.bayshorechurch.org/events/ (This is just a working sample)
In my case it looks like this: https://www.av-moosburg.de/events/
As you can see the whole style is broken but there is some content from the events. I really tried a lot of things but I am not able to establish a correct calender overview.
Can I provide any additional help or debug info?
Any help is really appreciated!!
Best regards,
Peter
Good morning Peter
What i see right now on your case is blog page, the page is selected as a blog page and in this case you cant utilize it as a normal page, only blog content will be displayed here, please change this from WordPress setting > reading
Hi Noda,
thanks for fast response.
I changed like you recommended, but that does not ave a effect on the events calender overview.
Check out yourself please, I left the configuration on “normal page”

Hello,
I hope you are doing well today.
I am not seeing the calendar, have you removed it?
Is this the plugin that you are using for the calendar?

Hi Support,
that’s exactly the problem by clicking https://www.av-moosburg.de/events/ the whole overview of the calender events should appear, but it doesn’t. It is just a minor part without any style information it seems.
I did not remove the module. You can click on the right side e.g. “Fischerstammtisch” this is one event in the calender module. Yes, it is that calender module Version 4.7.2.
Thank you for your help!
Peter
Hello Peter
There is only one event displayed on the page,
i think the example of the page and your page uses a different configuration, you don’t have even similar layout like on the example, have you talked about this to the plugin developers? are you sure you are using the proper setting?
Hi Noda,
exactly, that’s the point. But there are at least 50 events over the year.
Maybe this can help. I started my support journey with the Plugin Guys, take a look here (Donnerkalle is me):
As it works with default theme but not with Travellify it seems to be a theme issue. I would really like to avoid changing to another theme as it is a hobby, spare time project and I even do not know the side effects when changing.
Regards,
Peter
Good morning Peter
Ok, let me try it, i dont have big experience with the plugin i can check what is going on
Please use this plugin to create temporary access for us, its automatic login link and does not requires sharing your admin details. here is How To guide. at the and don’t forget about “Set as private reply” at the bottom of the message box
Hello,
I noticed that you have a pending WordPress update, please go ahead and install that as the plugin may work better with it.

Hi,
yes, you are right but I cannot upgrade to WP 5.01 at that moment. When I do this I would rather get a whole new theme specially designed for WP 5.
The updates for the 3 plugins have no connection either to the theme nor to the events calender plugin.
Thanks
Peter
Hello,
The issue here is that we do not have experience with the plugin so we would not be able to troubleshoot it properly. In this case, it seems the plugin is adding the events as a post type but having issues with that so I would recommend adding the events to a page to see if that helps.

Hi,
I managed to upgrade all of the site to 5.02 now, just in case. But did not change the issue.
I do not understand what you mean by “adding the events to a page”?
The single events and all the other stuff works properly. The only thing not working is the “big” calender overview
here https://www.av-moosburg.de/events/. This appears when you click on the link “Alle Veranstaltungen anzeigen” in the right coloumn. I cannot manipulate this link.
It should look at least little bit like the demo here (of course other colors an size): https://wpshindig.com/
In my case it seem that the calender overview does not get any style information at all.

Peter
Hello,
I am sorry for the confusion here but we are not familiar with this plugin but it seems to be conflicting with the post design of the theme because it is using a post to display the calendar. When I checked the theme settings, there were no options that would help with this issue so trying to add the calendar to a page using a short code may do the trick, if the plugin supports the use of short codes.
