I was wondering if there is an easy way to define the format of the featured image on the homepage and make it, for example, a crop of 2:1 for all. At the moment, it shows the original format like 3:2 landscape or square and the full width of the post excerpt but this would result in very large images if the image is in portrait format. FYI, I’m mostly using external images from Flickr and the ‘External Featured Image Pro’ Plugin, maybe this is causing some problems?
I have seen the topic you’re referring to and have also managed to install the plugin but it seems to address the image size of the slider, not the size of the featured image used on top of the post excerpts on the start page. I’ve attached to screenshots below, one for a landscape and one for a square pic. I’d like them to be cropped on the start page to a format of 2:1 (basically a slim landscape format) so that they all look alike no matter what format they originally have. The Activello Demo also shows such slim featured images so I was wondering the different appearance is caused by me using external images or something else.
hello, I followed the instructions of this post and everything worked fine. the thumbnails in the homepage have indeed the same size.
Unfortunately, as you can see here italianvagabond.com , this caused to some of the text on the images to be cropped too much. Where can I set a larger size for the thumbnails in order to solve the problem?
@Joe This is old topic so to help us keep support thread separates could you please create your own thread for your question here https://colorlibsupport.com/c/activello/ instead of replying on others thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.
If you want to you can also add reference of this thread in your newly created thread.
