I just tried to install the required shapely widgets and I get the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in /home/gtwth/public_html/wp-content/plugins/shapely-companion/inc/widgets/widget-home-clients.php on line 84
Is there a fix for this?

Hope you’re doing well today
I’m seeing this error for the third time and I’ve been trying to replicate and diagnose the error.
To regain access to your site, you’ll need to log into your site’s FTP and go to wp-content/plugins/ and remove the shapely companion plugin.
Now, in a step to resolve the issue, What version of PHP are you running on your server? If you’re using lower than PHP 5.6 then you’ll need to update that. That’s the closest I am to a resolution of the issue currently.

I am currently running PHP 5.6 with just the default options set. I just updated to that version of php and ran the importer for the shapely-demo.xml file. I no longer get the errorr:

But no I am getting the following errors:

Do you have the JetPack plugin installed and activated?
If you don’t have it installed then you will get that error since WordPress doesn’t recognize the JetPack post type without having the plugin enabled.
