Error when i activate the theme

Hi !

I dowload the Illdy theme and follow the procedure to install it. But when I activate it I have the following error message :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC in /home/../.../wp-content/themes/iddly/inc/components/entry-meta/class.mt-entry-meta.php on line 50"
What have I to do to fix it ?

I hope you are doing well today.

Please try clearing your WordPress cache with the following plugin:

Then deactivate any third party plugins that you may have active and try activating the theme once more.

Thank your for your answer. I tried but it doesn’t change anything. I’ve still the same error message.

Please go to Dashboard > Update and install any pending updates available.

The theme or WordPress may need to be updated.
