I’m trying to install the Evento theme to my wp site and the installation fails due to missing style.css? Any tips/tricks or is it truly a file missed in the packaging? Please help.

Most probably you are uploading not theme folder but a folder with documentation and other stuff, you have to upload the only theme folder
We support only our theme problems, regarding Envato theme, you have to contact to Envato
