I have set my featured images in almost all my posts. I am trying to use 1018 X 460 for the size of the featured image to accommodate the slider in case I want to add that post to the home page slider.
I did notice, however, that the featured image does not show up at the top of the single page blog post.
This post is featured in the slider with a featured image, yet when you click to read the post the image is not there. I would like for it to show at the top of the post. How to?
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You can try achieving this by using the attached child theme of Travelify theme that contains some custom code.
Perfect! Thanks so much movin…
I was not using a child theme, wanted to, but this pushed me to do so. I know it’s the right thing to do. I feel a lot better about it now.
Everything looks great! Support here is amazing!
You are most welcome here
I am trying out the travelify theme and for the most part I think I love it. I really like the beautiful slider.
My site is catrinasgarden.com Travelify is activated and customized.
I have some problems with it that are the same or similar to those that fanitictourist is having. I have made a folder in my themes folder called travelfy-child and then I made the 2 files in your child theme and copied the code into them. It shows the featured image on the posts but not on pages. Would that require another line of code?
Some other options that would work would be to add a slider (maybe not the same pictures as on the home and blog page) on other pages.
Also right now the pages that don’t have the slider I have a header image. I like that, but I don’t want it to be on the pages that have the slider. I think that having both on the main page is too much.
Also having problems with the thumbnails in the store and category pages.
Child theme is active right now on my test site catrinasgarden.com/dev but not the updates that I made to the main site, but you can see that featured image in the blog post is working.
