flexslider issue with EventOn plugin

Hi,

I installed EventOn plugin.
The plugin doesn’t work with Shapely theme. When I go to an event page created with this plugin on Chrome and press F12, I see:
shapely-scripts.js?ver=20160115:139
Uncaught TypeError: $(…).flexslider is not a function

I googled a bit and it seems like that this plugin uses flexslider and it conflicts with flexslider used by Shapely.

The same event page works just fine when I switch to other themes.

How can I solve this?

I get the exact same problem with WP Google Maps plugin.

Hi, After hours of trying and searching, I found this support request:

Using custom functions.php in this post solved my issue.
