Hi,
I’m showing my projects using next gen gallery and the “full width” page template.
This works well in the shapely theme.
However, if I copy this over to a child theme (it’s currently empty - i.e. there is only the required information in style.css and function.php to make it work, but nothing more) and I copy ALL the settings, including the custom CSS, then the projects show an empty right sidebar whatever template (full width, left sidebar, no sidebar) I chose. This is kind of weird, right?
Sorry, reuploading images because they were too big.
Hi there
please provide url of the project page
also, please don’t duplicate tickets, this doubles our work
https://colorlibsupport.com/t/full-width-template-for-projects-dont-seem-to-work-in-child-theme
Here’s the url of the site:
http://epfdp.paulatlan.net
and here’s one of the portfolios:

I’ve set it to the child theme so you can see what’s happening. (equivalent of the second screenshot)
Sorry for the dual ticket, the first one gave me an error with no other indication so I thought it had NOT been posted. Cheers.

Ok, please check now, i used this css in appearance > customize > additional css:
#primary.full-width {
width: 100%;
}
It works! Thanks. Do you know why its an issue with child themes only?
HI
To be honest im not sure why it won’t work in the child theme, this needs deeper investigation,
Is there anything else here?
How do I make the project pages full width? I dont want any of the widget stuff on the right side of the page.
Please help. Thanks
hi @samastutojr
I need a link to your page and then let me know what exactly you want to achieve on that page
