Google Webmaster Structured Data error: missing author

Hi guys,

I’m seeing the error in the “Structured Data > hentry (markup: microformats.org)” section of the Google Webmaster Tools.

Under the “Errors” column, adjacent to the URLs of my blog posts, I see the following:

“Missing: author” on 37 items
“Missing: updated” on 2 items

doing some research I found how I can fix it but the fix will disappear with the theme updates.
most websites recommend contacting the theme developer to request a permanent fix to this issue.
