Is it possible to have the lightbox gallery show up when a portfolio is clicked on, rather than taking the viewer to a separate page? I saw a solution that pulled the whole page contents in and over the thumbnails, but what i want is an actual pop up when i click on the portfolio. Is this possible?

Not sure I have explained myself properly here:
On the front page I want to have the gallery / portfolio content pop up when you click on an image in the portfolio section.

I followed the code on here and a fewe other variations but have not succeded in creating this effect. At one point this effect did work but was not quite right for me, it pulled the entire content of the assosciated portfolio page in and over the top of the thumbnail image, however resetting the code to this has now stopped that eefect as well. Is it possible to have the click on the portfolio thumbnail either open a lightbox or window displaying all content, or start a lideshow of the portfolios image content?
THis seems to be possible somehow as others seem to have asked, recieved support and succeeeded in creating the effect i am after or similar.
