I have a problem with uploading images for the header. I have tried but various configurations and plugins, but it simply doesn’t work…
When I upload header picture through theme settings, an empty bar is created. When I try to create the header for main page using Parallex Widget, the image is visible only when i choose one of the following display methods: left, right, top, or bottom, but nothing shows when I choose Background full or Background small. Again, only an empty field is created.
I also have problem with adding pictures (and text) using sidebar widget. I paste in tested html code, but it won’t show neither pictures nor code.
Any ideas what went wrong?
I have installed demo for both content and widgets, installed and activated all required plugins, set up the static home page and tried both full page and sidebar displays.
I run out of ideas what else I could do. I would love to hear your opinion on that.

If you are trying to set the header image using header option of the theme then it’s a known issue which is reported in the following page and will be fixed in the future version of theme.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using latest version of Shapely theme.
Could you please try using latest version of Shapely theme by downloading it from the below page?

Please share me the HTML code that you are using to display it and also could you please share me the page URL from your site where it is not displaying so that i can troubleshoot it?
I have tried installing the theme version you sent me, but unfortunately nothing changed. Do you think it is possible that widget demo is not installed properly?

I could confirm the issue on your site.
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

Your site home page uses the Homepage widget area so it only displays the widget added in this widget area and not in sidebar where you have added the widget containing HTML code.
Could you suggest how to create sidebar within Homepage widget area?
To chieve this you have to create child theme of Shapely theme and overwrite the theme file template-home.php in it then display the sidebar using dynamic_sidebar function by adding the custom code in this file.
