how to create footer “mini menu” like in demo (left column footer)

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
The footer “mini menu” displayed in your shared screenshot is created by adding the widgets in the Homepage widget areas and the first widget added there is the Unite theme widget called “Unite: Popular Posts Widget” as shown in the attached screenshot.
To display the widgets on the home page you have to set the static home page in the Reading settings of your site as shown in the second attached screenshot.
