How to Embed a Flipbook using Shapely theme

Hello

I’m using the Shapely theme to rebuild my website. I am updating an existing page where I want to embed a flip book, the code of which is supplied by a third party. I’ve added the code onto the page, however it is not rendering properly.

Can anyone advise if the code needs to be amended to display correctly or any suggestions on getting it to render correctly? The supplied code for the flip book is:

https://previews.onlineprogallery.com.au/affiliate/js/pjs.js

    var base='previews.onlineprogallery.com.au';
    var cpid='1410013';
    var auth='525a5759a5b726.77860238';
    showProject();

The page is located here http://www.lidiadopera.com.au/books/masquerade-venice/

To see what the flip book should look like is located on the third party site here https://previews.onlineprogallery.com.au/gallery?cpid=1410013&auth=525a5759a5b726.77860238

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

What you have here is a link to the flipbook because it is hosted on another website, so it will be a link on your page that links to the flipbook.

Hello Support

Thank you for your reply and appreciate your time, however I think you’ve misunderstood my query. The script provided to display the flip book is not displaying the flip book when embedded onto a page on my website (as it is intended to do. To note also that I have previously embedded this flip book and others on my website when using a different theme). Could there be a conflict with the Shapely theme?. Attached is a screen grab of the script.

I’m not a developer, so if you can guide me on how to embed the script would be appreciated.

Many thanks
Lidia

Trying again to upload the screen shot of the script.

Hi there,
Thanks for keeping in touch with us.

Kindly try adding the code using the plugin linked below:

It’s quite likely that the theme is ignoring the code like it does for a lot of other elements.

I hope this helps :slight_smile:

Hello Support

Thank you very much for your suggestion, which I have implemented the code embed plug in, however no success. It does however display the outer box of the flipbook and the ‘buy’ button (which the link works), however does not display the flipbook itself.

When running a hard refresh on the page, I came across the attached error messages. Perhaps this would assist in finding a solution?

Many thanks

Hi there,
Thanks for keeping in touch with us.

Did you remove the implementation discussed above? If you have, kindly re-add it and let me know so that I can have a first-hand look at what could be causing the problems.

The truth is, getting this to work genuinely isn’t anywhere near guaranteed. I’d honestly try finding a WordPress plugin that could provide this functionality to the theme.

If you’d like to explore this, kindly check one of the two links below for a plugin that could work:

I look forward to your reply :slight_smile:

Hello Support
Thank you for getting in touch again.

In response to your question, I had not removed the code embed plugin.

However I have now made some changes to see if it makes a difference. I have taken the following steps:

Deactivated and deleted Code Embed plugin
Downlowded and installed Code embed plugin
Added a new Code line with script to a new page
page is published is located here http://www.lidiadopera.com.au/test-page/

Unfortunately, no change - the flip book still does not display however you can see the container and buy button link.

please see attached report when I performed a hard refresh on the page. Is there an issue with the css stylesheet

Many thanks
Lidia

Hello Lidia,

I have checked the page and your error log. This error indicates that it was not able to load the flipbook because it was not was not able to find it on the server. At this point you can try using another plugin using the links that were provided before:

Hello Support

Thank you for your continued support. Happy to say this issue is now resolved. I implemented Advanced iFrame and is successfully importing the flip books.

If anyone is interested, here’s an example
