How to hide featured slider posts in Recent post widget?

Hi,

I am just playing around with this fantastic theme and I have a question regarding something I want to do. I have 4 posts that I have used in Featured Slider. Initially I made these posts private but then the slider does not show to public users. Now I have kept the posts public and checked the option in featured slider to not show the posts on home page. It works as expected, However the posts still show up in Recent Posts widget in the right sidebar and footer. Is there any way I can hide them?

Just use Pages instead of Posts. It will be much easier to hide them since they won’t show up anywhere unless you add them to Custom Menu.
