How to remove Page Url Numbers

Hi,
I have installed the sparkling theme successfully and it is beautiful. I have one problem and I need solution for it.

I have made two posts in one category and the page urls appears as below.

www.domain.com/categoryname
www.domain.com/categoryname/page/2/

I do not want the url to be with /page/2/ as it is not good for SEO purpose.
I changed the permalink setting to %/postname/% too yet this problem is not getting resolved.

I edited the page urls in the edit bar of the post window. Still the page numbers appear.

How to resolve this?

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well today.

Those login credentials are not working can you please check them.
If there are multiples pages in a post then the page number would have to be there for WordPress to find it so you would have to add all the content into one page/post.

The page number displays on category archive pages to navigate between different archive pages.

If you remove the page number from URL then how can you navigate the archive pages?
