I am becoming very frustrated with this situation. I am unable to replace the jumbotron photo with my own. I am using a custom page for both blog and posts as required, but there is still no option for me to replace the picture.
While I do like the theme you have created, and was hoping to purchase a few of them in the near future, If the free theme does not work, I am hesitant to invest any money into the paid themes.
Maybe you could look and see what the problem is?

In order to change the Jumbotron image, please go to Appearance > Customize > Front Page Section > Jumbotron, from here disable the option “Featured image as jumbotron” then scroll down to “Background” and change the background image.

I’m having the same problem. Set-up a (duplicated) own frontpage and blog, and still can’t change the Jumbotron image. Url: www.marliesbeautyspecialist.nl

sorry, I overlooked the background setting. Found it. its a little bit hidden tab…
