i don't want update illdy theme

Hello

I use illdy on my website.

For a translation theme of the front page, I had to touch code of this to have it in two languages.

The problem came when 1and1 updated wordpress and also updated the theme illdy.

This made me lose all the work done with the programming of the front page.

Is there any way to stop updates on illdy? What do I have to do so that the front page of my website is never updated?

You need to activate and use a child theme to contain the changes that you make to the theme so that when the theme updates then the changes are not affected. Here is a plugin to create a child theme:

Also for running multiple language website please consider using plugins like Multilingual WordPress « WordPress Codex or use Loco Translate – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org to translate the strings to a different language. Don’t hack the core theme files unless needed.
