Illdy and WPML translating title and entry in front page sections

Hello,

I am having trouble translating specifically the Titles and Entry for the front page sections of the Illdy theme. (BTW I love your theme, thank you!!). I already use multilingual widgets and those are working fine. But I am having trouble getting WPML to register the strings of the titles and body text of the sections.

I searched the forums and found this: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-theme-options/. So I follow those directions but the titles and text of the front page sections are not showing up in any of the domains for strings.

Please let me know how I can fix this.

Hello Noda,

In Customizer I customize the tiles and body text for the front page sections. My default language is Spanish and I am fully translating the site. For example the section “About” I changed it and gave it a title of “Salud” in Spanish. Next, I changd the description in the Entry field in Customizer so that all the text is in Spanish.

The strings are not recognized by WPML. So next, I go to WPML > String Translations > Translate texts in admin screens. I expand theme_mods_illdy and I find the general title and general field for each section. I select them. I click Apply. Then I go to String Translation again bit I can’t find the strings.

Looks like i have to touch this, :slight_smile: please use this plugin to create temporary access for us, its automatic login link and does not requires sharing your admin details. here is How To guide. at the and don’t forget about  “Set as private reply” at the bottom of the message box
