Hi. I was wondering if you could tell me whether the theme “Illdy” allows users to edit and change fonts and font sizes? Can I purchase an upgrade to achieve this? Many thanks.
Hey there
Thank you for a question, yes you can change font settings like color and size but depends on what exactly and where you want to change, my suggestion is to try it, you don’t need to buy anything its completely free. We have also great documentation about theme:
Illdy theme is distributed as a free theme, it does not have paid or pro version of the theme with extended functionality,
Thanks for the rapid response. Ideally, I’d like to change most of the fonts, particularly the main headings. But I can’t seem to find where I can edit/change any fonts anywhere. Hopefully the videos will help. Thanks.
Hi there
Well, if video or options panel does not covers all settings with fonts then we can help, you have to provide link to your page and clear reference to the text you want to change style
I’ll review the videos. Unfortunately, I can’t provide a link as yet, I’m still building the website for someone and it’s not ready to go live yet. I’ll be in touch and let you know the outcome.
I’ve watched all the videos in the documentation section and none of them cover fonts or how to change fonts and sizes. Nothing in my dashboard directs me to fonts neither.
Actually, I’ve noticed I don’t have the same options as shown in the videos. For example, under “latest news” section. The video shows there is the option to change the text on the button and you can change the URL for the button’s link underneath, but my wordpress doesn’t have the second option (to change the URL). I’m struggling to assign posts to that page and now I’m wondering if this and my other issue with changing fonts is because I don’t have the full suite of options in the version (or wordpress dashboard? I’m using??
Here a few specific questions at here’s the URL for you to visit - www.tulitrust.org:
When the site comes up, the original image of the lady’s back flashes up quickly before the elephant picture. How can I fully remove the image of the lady?
Is there a way to have ‘contact’ in the menu, but not a page, so when clicked it moves to the bottom of the homepage where the contact form is?
I managed to find a discussion from 2016 in which someone was told how to change the font that appears over the slider, which I did. But I can’t find anything that tells me how to change all the fonts on the site. I prefer PT Serif for headings, Poppins isn’t consistent with my client’s brand.
Also can the slider transition be made slower, it’s a bit harsh in its current form. Plus, is there a way the font can have a shadow or something so it stands out a bit more?
My clients wants visitors to be able to somehow enter their details so they can receive updates/newsletters. Is this possible with this theme?
Sorry for all the questions, I know this is a free theme and therefore limited. But my client is asking me the questions, so I need to respond with an answer rather than “I don’t know” I’m not an expert with web design, but I get by. Thanks a lot.
Hello there,
I hope you are doing well today.
- The image of the lady does not appear on my end, please clear your browser cache.
- You would have to add it to the menu as a link anad use this as the url: https://tulitrust.org#contact-us
- The Use Any Font plugin would help you to change the fonts:Use Any Font | Custom Font Uploader – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org
- You will have to go to Appearance > Editor then locate the file via sections/front-page-header-slider.php and edit the auto play time.
- This plugin can be used to implement the newsletter: Newsletter – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
