Image maps in background

Hello,

I was thinking that it would be pretty cool to have sort of linked hotspots on the background image.
What I want to do is to have a more attractive link to the forums by clicking a character that has a speech bubble (here’s an image of a rough draft of what I want http://nintybuzz.com/Screen%20Shot%202016-05-09%20at%2013.28.36.png ), I was also thinking it could be useful to know in the long run to try and do some fun things to increase user interaction

Does anyone know if this is possible?
Leon

Hi Leon,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You will have to achieve this by developing custom code as described on the following pages.

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_map.asp
http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/tutorials/html/imagemaps
https://www.image-maps.com/

Developing custom code for custom functionality is beyond the scope of support that we provide here.

If you are not a developer then you can consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site. Colorlib recommends the developer https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~011652ffec8865c6d5 http://freewptp.com/contact

Best Regards,
Movin

Ah okay.

Would you be able to tell me where the div container for the custom-background is located at all?

The custom background is applied to the body tag which is located in the theme header.php file.
