Is it possible to add categories with list of posts on front page

Is there a way to pull categories into the front page with a thumbnail instead of a listing of posts? Thank you!!

There is an option for that inside Theme Options called “Homepage Post Options”. Just select category you want to use on front page.

Thanks!! Appreciate the reply, though this still lists posts. I’m wondering if it’s at all possible to make the categories listed instead of posts – and the excerpts would be the category descriptions.

I misunderstood you at first. Unfortunately it is not possible via Theme Options. You will have to look for plugins (I doubt that there is one) of get your hands dirty coding your own solution. There is a lot of work involved to make it seamlessly integrated.
