Make site title and tagline bigger (Especially title)

Hello,

My apologies if this has already been covered; I searched and couldn’t find it. I’d like to make the site title (in the header) and possibly the tagline larger.

I’d also probably like them centered. I saw that this was covered on the forum but I wasn’t sure if I should follow the same instructions since I might be enlarging the title too.

Thank you!

Hi @wlcurrier,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can make the site title (in the header) and the tagline larger and centered by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of your theme on the below path.

Admin Area -> Apperance -> Theme Options -> Other -> Custom CSS

h1#site-title {
  font-size: 40px;
}
h2#site-description {
  font-size: 16px;
}
hgroup#site-logo {
  float: none;
  text-align: center;
}

Change the font size in the above code to whatever you want to use.

Best Regards,
Movin

@Movin

I have the same need to enlarge the Title and site description. I found this forum entry. But the above CSS code does not work for me. My site is http://betweenplaces.net

Can you help please? Thanks!

@Movin,

Actually, I fixed the site title font size using your above CSS codes, because there was a missing bracket in a previous css snippet.

Now I have increased the font size and line weight and height of the Title. The question is how do I change the spacing of the characters please?

And how do I change the size of the social media links on the right? Thanks again!

Hi @annie,

I hope you are well today.

To help keep support thread separates could you please create your own thread for your question here https://colorlibsupport.com/c/sparkling/ instead of replying on others thread as it makes the thread messy and hard to read.

If you want to you can also add reference of this thread in your newly created thread.

We would be more than happy to help you on your new thread.

Cheers,
Movin
