Modifying Simple Calendar placed in front page full width section

Hi, I’m new to this! I appreciate any help I can get and apologize for my basic question. I’m happy to learn!

When I placed my Simple Calendar on my front page in my full width section, it spans the entire screen. I would like to add a border or margin around it.

The documentation suggests
.my-content-wrapper ul li {
margin-left: 20px;
}

Where would I place this code? Within the Simple Calendar page? Or somewhere in the sidebar?

You can lace that code in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, that is where you need to place all new CSS code.
