I don’t want my portfolio images to link anywhere. I tried your plugin to avoid this behavior, but the only thing going on was to make it disappear.
also i set the portfolio to show 20 images and only 10 are showing.

After using that plugin you have to readd the portfolio widget in the Home page widget area.
also i set the portfolio to show 20 images and only 10 are showing.
Do you want to display 20 images in the portfolio widget or on the portfolio archive page?
