No widgets appearing

Hi there,

I’ve installed the Flatly theme over and over, but I can’t get the widgets working. It simply looks like this (please see file attached).

Any ideas how I can fix this? Thank you.

Hi,

Flatly theme? If you meant Shapely then make sure,

  1. Create a new page, and in page attributes in the right side choose the home page template, publish the page.
  2. Go to Settings -> Readings -> Front Page Display -> Static page -> Choose the page you created in step 1.
  3. If you mean the widgets, then you can control them in Appearance -> Widgets, and also via Appearance -> Customize.

Hey there,

My apologies - I did mean Flatly after all!

Also, I’m an idiot. I’m not familiar with how Wordpress works, but last night I figured out that the issue was down to how my front page was set up.

I plan to follow the steps here: Shapely Theme Documentation - Colorlib, and implement the full blown theme - which is what I haven’t done.
