Not able to Install

Hello - I have a brand new site, with the latest version of Wordpress (as of 7/16) and I’m unable to install this theme. I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC in /home/content/k/i/l/kileytravis/html/jamieandtom/wp-content/themes/illdy/inc/components/pagination/class.mt-pagination.php on line 48

Suggestions? I had the same issue with Shapely. I’ve used your other themes successfully on other sites.

I am using GoDaddy Linux hosting. Website: http://jamieandtom.com/

Thanks,
Jamie

Never mind, updating the PHP seems to have done the trick.

Ok sorry still having issues. I still get an error when I install Shapely and I am on PHP 5.4.

Trying to make Illdy work, but I cannot customize the menu to the one page design. I tried adding the absolute link (e.g. 买球赛用什么app_欧冠买球_官网入口) and it still won’t jump. Do I have to use the templated sections?

I just want to achieve a one page design with parallax scrolling, using pages I create.

Thanks,
Jamie

Jamie I’m having exactly the same problem as you.

How did you go about fixing the
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC in
wp-content/themes/illdy/inc/components/pagination/class.mt-pagination.php on line 48

I have tried to update the PHP but that hasn’t worked for me.

Can anybody from colorlib support please help here?

And also as result of this error were you getting the HTTP 500 error?

I deleted the Illdy theme files via my hosting file manager. I updated the PHP all the way to 5.4 - GoDaddy had to help me since I was still on 5.2 (apparently my hosting is way too old). Afterwards I was able to successfully install Illdy but Shapely was still giving me an error. Today I randomly tried to do Shapely from scratch and it worked! I will attribute it to lag time but I’m really not sure what happened.

Try to delete the newly installed themes and make sure your PHP is at least 5.4. I didn’t get a HTTP 500 error though, just a Parse error that locked me out of Wordpress.

Good luck!

Hello Jamie,

You should first have a look on the demo page.
You’ll see that every menu item comes with an ID anchor at the end:

https://colorlib.com/illdy/#about
https://colorlib.com/illdy/#projects
https://colorlib.com/illdy/#testimonials
https://colorlib.com/illdy/#services
https://colorlib.com/illdy/#latest-news
https://colorlib.com/illdy/#counter
https://colorlib.com/illdy/#team
https://colorlib.com/illdy/#contact-us

You should take this ID and use it similarly but with your website link inside Dashboard > Appearances > Menus, where you need to add Custom Menu items and set the above URL.

Let me know if you got it alright.

Regards
