Only Using /sections/front-page-about.php as Homepage

Hey team,

I did not use the Customize > Sections area. I coded out the homepage on the /sections/front-page-about.php (dont ask why). Is there a way I can only have THAT specific .php file display as the homepage.

Also something funky is that when logged in it displays correctly. When logged out, the whole section is missing. So I really only need the ‘about’ PHP section (/sections/front-page-about.php) for the homepage.

Thanks in advance,
Kris

Hello Kris,

This is quite the request, don’t know exactly where and how to address this.

It seems to me that all you need to do is to disable all the other sections from the Customizer and only keep the about section visible.

The content not showing is related to the fact that is have only default demo information which is not supposed to display on the live website. Please use your own custom content for it and it will display alright.

Unfortunately, getting to such in-depth custom modifications gets out of the free support scope, so if you are considering any kind of premium dedicated custom work support please add me on Skype (Ion Rutz) for more details about it.

Hey Ion,

I am not requesting any sort of development help. I am looking to be pointed in the direction of how to pull my code I added in the php code to display on the homepage. Now it works correctly, 110% when I am logged in. Unfortunately when I am logged out, it does not display. Attached is the correct version that it should display. All of this content is in the php file of the about. But again, when logged out- none of this displays as you can see in the link above.

Thanks for the quick response and hopefully we can get this resolved.

Just a quick follow up. This is quite urgent. If you don’t understand the previous message fully then let me know and I’ll try explaining it in more detail. Thanks in advance.

This is resolved.

That’s great news, I’m happy that you got it sorted out.

Cheers
