Out of stock items on first page - Need help

Out of stock items are shown on the front page widgets. The button on them is “Read more” instead of “add to cart” which is fine. But I do not want to display the out of stock items on the first page.

For ex In demo theme, items under “ALL BLACK TOPS” are shown as the quantity is available. If stock quantity is zero then it should not show there.

Note: On the SHOP page it is not displaying as I have chosen option in woocommerce “Hide out of stock items from the catalog”.
Please help me in removing OOS items from first page.

Hey there,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Can you provide the URL to your website so we can have a look at the issue?

Scroll down the home page and you see “ALL BLACK TOPS” Category. In this third item is “Vneck Tshirt” and it is out of stock and I do not want to display it here. Please help. Thanks !!

Hey there,

Have you tried the following in the WooCommerce options:
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory and check “Hide out of stock items from the catalog”

Thanks for you reply. I already mentioned in my first comment that Yes i tried and still on first page it is not hiding. in the Sub pages it is getting hidden due to that option. My problem is, it should hide from the first page.

Hi, Did you find time to correct the problem? Thank you !!

HI

Sorry, but not yet, can you try to save your out of stock products in the draft mode to check if they still appear in the list?

Can u pls tell me what is draft mode and how to set it?

Its exactly as a post, check this image

But if this works, do I need to manually go and change each out of stock product when my website is live? If yes this will be cumbersome…

Hi

Go ahead in dashboard, products, select all your products you want to move in draft mode, choose edit (at the top of the list you will see option for drop-down menu, ) hit apply and mark all your products with single click in draft mode from status drop-down menu, see attached image

Hi, This is fine, however there are hundreds of products and i need to monitor 24hrs this website to move the product to draft status as soon as it goes out of stock… I mean this is not a kind of solution. Can you please help? Thanks !!

Hello there,

I have been looking for a plugin to help you disable or draft the product automatically but there does not seem to be one available to automatically remove/disable the product.

Best Regards,
Support

You won’t find the plugin for it because it is working fine on the other pages of template , not showing out of stock products on other pages, it is the problem of the template that it is it is showing on the front page so you need to fix the template first page Actually. thank you
