Own slider pictures instead of post pictures

Hi
I need a solution for the startpage of my site. I’d like to have the posibillity to choose one or more pictures to show them on the slider position, but I don’t want to show the featured pictures from the posts.
If this doesn’t work, is there a chance to place a header under the navbar and not use the header position of the theme, because this position is in use for the logo?

You can try achieving this by using pages for slider instead of posts using the child theme solution shared in the following topic.
