page scroll with fixed nav bar

Hello,
I have a plugin installed to create a fixed nav bar with menus. The plugin is: MyStickyMenu.

It works as I need it to but, when I press a menu item which auto scrolls to the section, the top part of the section hides behind the nav bar instead of stopping below it. To further help understand the problem I have attached pics of how it looks and how I want it to be. How do I add spacing to the section?

I am trying this plugin and if I make the background color more transparent I can see the heading of the section more or less through the menu.

You can also play with the Sticky Opacity setting.
