Couple of questions:

Is there a way to customize the amount of projects that show on the home page?

Is there any way to filter out projects based on category for this page (example: Websites, Emails, Print)?

And if there isn’t a way to filter out as mentioned in 2nd question, is there a way to have this page look like the page in #2 does?

The problem is that when you use the portfolio shortcode, it doesn’t display like the custom portfolio you have in your theme. See examples:

your version: http://www.pmddesign.com/new-site/portfolio

shortcode version: http://www.pmddesign.com/new-site/websites-landing-pages/

There are some differences between two and you have to develop some custom code to display them similarly.
