Post preview on home page or / shorter preview for posts

FYI - The search function on this site isn’t working, so apologies for posting as I am sure it has been previously answered. I just get a 505 error when I search.

  1. I am looking for a way to show a preview of my blog posts on a static home page. How do I do this?

  2. On my blog page with all the previews there is a lot of white space between the titles, images, paragraphs, etc. so very few posts are visible at a time. Is there a way to show smaller previews so more are visible at once?

  1. What do you mean in post preview? the sparkling theme already has posts preview on the homepage: https://colorlib.com/sparkling/ and this can be set from settings >reading,
  2. can i see it? please provide link to your blog page
