Problems with Bootstrap image slider for Unite theme

I have two problems with the slider on my homepage.
There is a thin vertical line on my images (see image). It’s only on the left side, I think it has something to do with the class “left carousel-control”, but I can’t figure out what’s wrong.
The second problem is that when the next image appears im my slider, the slide effect is also applied to the rest of my homepage. It gives an annoying and unnecessary effect to titles and text. I use the recommended Bootstrap Carousel-plugin. Do I have to change some settings to fix this problem?

Please post your website URL and I will look into it. There is nothing like that on our theme demo, so I need to see your actuall website to understand what is going on.
