remove the word "category:" from the header, leave only category name.

Greetings,
I am using categories on my blog posts. So i can put links on my homepage to completed projects, or other categories.

When i use this function, I want to have only the category name on header. But as default it shows like this:
category: category name.

Is there a way to remove the word “category:” from the header?
I was wondering if this request is possible.

In order to remove this, you would have to edit the core theme files and remove the section of the code related to that.
