Setting the homepage?!

I get that for the blog page you need to setup this:

  1. How to set up Blog Page

Blog should be displayed by default on front page. If you have chosen to use Home Page as static like I have in Theme Demo you will have to setup blog page separately.

Create a new Page and name it “Blog” or whatever you feel right.
Go to Setting – Reading and select “A static page (select below)”
Now select previously created Page as “Posts page:”

But for the homepage, I made a blank page named homepage and nothing happens!? I get a black homepage?!

I’ve looked at the documentation an didn’t see any configuration regarding the homepage!?

Can anyone help me on this one thanks…

You want to use a static page on front page or blog with several posts?

Then just start publishing regular blog posts and set featured images to those posts.

Don’t change any settings inside WordPress dashboard >> Settings >> Reading as you need to have blog on front page and that’s how WordPress works by default.

You can also use theme domo data which is available here.
