Shapely hyperlink not changing color

The default color for the hyperlinks is blue according to the customize, which is the color I wanted the links to be, but they’re black, just like the rest of my font. I also can’t seem to get them to change to any other color.

I came across some CSS that was able to fix it.

How I got into the situation:
The default font color was not black so I highlighted all of the text and made it black, thinking that that the link text would stay blue, but the link color was over-ridden, and it would not change to any other color.
