Shapely syntax error

I have installed and reinstalled Shapely three times. Each time I do, I get a Syntax error and my site won’t load. I have looked at the page and cannot figure out the error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in \boswinfs01\home\users\web\b403\ywh.logodesigngroup\newwp\wp-content\themes\shapely\inc\widgets\widget-home-clients.php on line 18

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

This error occurs on older version of PHP so either update your PHP version to latest one or use the solution posted in the following reply to resolve it.
