Show certain categories in 'Recent Posts' widget instead of recent posts.

I have multiple blog posts categorised as ‘events’.
I’d like to display only these posts in the ‘Recent Posts’ widget.

How can I do this?

Thanks for your response. I can’t use that plugin on the front page. Is there a way to use the [Shapely] Recent Posts widget to show only one category of post? Or even just pinned posts?

Hi,

Use this Child theme, https://colorlibsupport.com/t/centering-other-widgets-on-the-home-page/#post-90223 you can add other widgets to the home page.

We can’t able to do that from Shapely Child theme, unless do some custom customization to the theme.
