sidebar link color for Sparkling WordPress theme?

Hi guys,

i having dificultiy to create background color on active link in sidebar.
this is waht ai try to achive.

  1. active link to have a blue background with white text
  2. on hover to have grey background with black text

i will appreciate if you guys could show me this.

Please post your website URL and name widget on which you are working to make this styling to work. There is no one size fits all solution and I need to see your website setup in order to provide a proper solution.

You can select “Set as private reply” option which you can see right below text editor here on forum.

is the categories, Resents post, Archives widget

I think that I have completed this task.

Only category widget have active class so it can be marked blue once selected. If you want to get this done for all other widgets you have to completely recreate theme or do some JavaScript. Both of these solution are not worth the effort.

for the others widget do i really need to recrtate the theme to add an active class on them?

Search WordPress codex to find if there are some filters that could help you with that. But by default no other widgets except category and custom menu generates active/current class.
