I tried all kinds of method, and it seems that my web host Crocweb ignores any adjustment, like php.ini or php5.ini; and no use editing files inside wordpress. So I’d like to know how to upload large file again?
Another question is what is the optimal image size for widgets? I saw that the theme used 3800x2700 images on home page, should I also use that size, or possibly smaller size but won’t affect the visual too much?

The theme doesn’t force any restriction on upload of file size. You can try increasing it as described on the below page or contact your web host to increase it.

I am not sure regarding what image you are talking about so could you please tell me a bit more in detail?
You can use the below plugin to Regenerate Thumbnails on your site so that it will be cropped properly and displayed on the site.
I was able to change limit in my cPanel after contacting webhost.
Regarding the image, I meant the ones you add to your widgets that will be shown on the home page, it’s like the background image for the widget. I didn’t meant to ask about the optimal image size for thumbnail, but for the image that will be used in the widget on home page.
