Slider height beyond 500px

Hi, sorry if this is a novice question.

After I updated to 2.3.5 the slider changed its height from 700 to 500 cropping all the featured images, which all are 1920x700. This issue didn´t happen in the previous versions of sparkling.
I tried adding the CSS code as explained in here (https://colorlibsupport.com/t/quick-questions-regarding-slider-header-image-and-blogpost/) setting max-height=700px but it doesn´t seem to work.
Is there a way to set a slider height larger than 500? My website is: nitrogenoensangre.com

You can try achieving this by using the attached custom child theme of Sparkling theme that contains some custom code.
