Slider posts

Hi,
I load some slider posts on my new Activello website with the highlight images.
But I saw that the images appear on the website with different sizes.
So, I have to upload images with the same size?
What should be the size of images to fill the devoted space?
Thanks
Michele

Hi,
I have tried to insert in some posts images 1170x550 as highlight images, but even so the images appear with different sizes in the homepage slider.
I hope that you can help me and I thank you for your kind help.
Michele

Hi,
now the images are all the same, but as you can see on my blog, the images do not occupy the entire length of page, like your Activello demo.
What size should have the images to occupy the entire length of the page?
Or, what I do to bring up the slide images like on your demo?
Thanks
Michele

Hi Michele,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Could you please share me your site URL where it’s happening so that i can troubleshoot it?

Kind Regards,
Movin

Hello Movin,
yes, http://bikeridesadventures.it/
As you can see there are two posts.
One has the highlight image 1170x550, each other 1920x50.
The 1920x550 image covering the entire width of the page, as I would like, the other not.
I saw on your demo that the posts images are 1170x550, but the image of the slide covering all the page width. So, is there a way for the 1170x550 images covering all the page width as in your demo?
Thank You
Michele

Hello!

The best is to resize pictures which you want for slider to 1920×550px

Hi Michele,

It seems this is happening because of the Jetpack plugin Photon module that you are using on your site so could you please try temporary deactivating it or its Photon module on your site?

This jetpack photon module is not updating the images stored on wp.com so to resolve the issue either disable this module or update the images on wp.com by contacting jetpack support team.

Hi,
thank you for the answere.
Okay, but if I do so I load on the posts very large picture, changing the image.
Michele

Hi Movin,
thank you for the answere.
Ok I ask for their support, then I will let you know.
Thank You
Michele

You are most welcome here :slight_smile:

Hi Movin,
I have forwarded those of Jetpack what you had responded me. I enclose their response.
I have disabled Photon, but the problem remains. So, as Lisa says, I return to ask you, if you can solve the problem, please.
Thanks
Michele

If it appears connected on your side, keep Photo disabled on your Jetpack -> Settings page. That is the only Jetpack module that will affect your slider display.

If you still have trouble with the slider image sizes, with Photon disabled, you’ll need to contact Colorlib for additional support.

Thanks,

Lisa

Please make sure your slider images are at least of size 1920px X 550px

I see on your site they are of lower size 1170px X 550px as displayed below.

thanks for your message.
Yes, but as I have said earlier this chat, I saw on your demo that the posts images are 1170×550, but the image of the slide covering all the page width because are 1920x550.
I want do the same thing on my blog, so, I want post smaller image and make them look 1920x550 on the head, like on your demo. What should I do to get this?

Also, what should I do to insert different header photos on other pages of my blog, or also the same slide of the homepage, as it appears on your demo?

Thank You Very Much
Michele

No on our demo site Activello Theme Demo - Just another colorlib.com site the slider images are of size 1920×550 as displayed below.

https://colorlib.com/activello/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2012/03/photo-1437915015400-137312b61975-1920x550.jpg

If you want to post smaller image and make them look 1920×550 then you can try achieving this by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of your theme on the below path but please note this way the images will display stretched.

Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Activello Options -> Other -> Custom CSS

.flexslider .slides img {
    width: 100%;
    height: 550px;
}
Also, what should I do to insert different header photos on other pages of my blog, or also the same slide of the homepage, as it appears on your demo?

Could you please share me the page URL from demo site where it is displaying so that i can help you to achieve it?

Hi,
yes, the page is this https://colorlib.com/activello/

Hi,

I am trying to keep my images on the slider size similar to the demo but also keep the original size for the actual post as the slider cuts off parts of the image.

I’ve tried some suggestions here but doesn’t seem to work.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

@spazzel I ahev replied to your following topic so please don’t reply on others topic.

@Michele

yes, the page is this https://colorlib.com/activello/

I think you didn’t read my following reply carefully where i said the page URL and not site URL where you said the header images are displaying on demo site.

Could you please share me the page URL from demo site where it is displaying so that i can help you to achieve it?

Hi Movin,
I see the header image only on the Home page of your demo, the only page URL I see is this https://colorlib.com/activello/
I hope to answer correctly.
Regards
Michele

If you want to display the home page slider on all pages of your site then you can achieve that by using the child theme solution shared in the following topic.
