Social menu not showing after update

Hi,
I had two menus, a main menu and an action menu.
The action Menu is set as Social Menu and it was showing just under the main menu.
There was the main menu, a small horizontal line and then, under it, the action menu. (like a submenu).
Now, after the Dazzling upgrade, the Action menu disappeared. I cannot see the entries even from the “view source” of the browser (or the Inspect element).
Is there any way to restore it?

It’s hard to say only from this information, first of all, I would recommend downgrading your theme to the previous version and then by using Staging environment updating your theme to the latest version, this will give us better options to investigate your problem

I did what you suggested: I downgraded the live site and reset the staging site (It was not working).
The live site is https://washoedems.org
The staging site is staging.washoedems.org
I did not upgrade (yet) the staging for a reason: I see that our action menu is not, as I said in the first message, the social menu, it was set as secondary menu. And the secondary menu does not exist in the new version.
Is there a way to have the secondary menu also in the new version or we have to stay with the old version of the Dazzling theme?

I did some check , looks like you are using customization in your theme and you are loosing your changes during the update :slight_smile:

I updated the staging.

As you can see the secondary menu disappeared.
Yes we did a lot of css customization but this is not a problem, I can manage them, if I want. The problem is that the secondary menu went away.

That’s the case, update resets all your customization because probably you did it in the theme files directly, you need to use child theme for this and similar case when you want to modify theme files

Although I see the widget Dazzling Social Widget, it no longer has a place to add the various social media sites.

I did not modify any theme file. I only added few “Additional CSS”.
The problem is that in the previous version there was what was called “Secondary menu” (Viewable now in https://www.washoedems.org/ as “Newsletter Sign-up Elected Dems Contribute”), the fact that I changed its color does not matter. This secondary menu disappeared in the new version.
I am sorry if I wrongly set the title of this thread, it is not the Social Menu, it is the secondary menu. If I could change the title I would.

@massimo by default theme does not have a second menu:

So, its impossible to add them only by css, its a custom modification

Oh, I realize only now that the person who managed the site before me added this personalized secondary menu. I applied the same changes and now it works.
