Social widget not working on sparkling 2.0.1

And after updating to the version 2.0.1 i found that there is no option under appearance > customize to set my social link and also they are not showing up in my sidebar.

However the widget text is showing up for the social widget.

I have checked this also using a fresh install of WordPress on my local WAMP test environment.

I just started using Sparkling, and I have the same question. Can’t figure out where to put my social links, and while the widget is appearing in the side bar the icons aren’t.
