Is there a way to get que Sparkling Popular Posts Widget to show the most viewed and popular posts and not the most commented ones?.
In my site, since a couple of years i don’t have comments, so the widgets shows only very old articles from 2011 and 2010 and not the real popular ones.
Is there a way to modify this?

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You can do this by developing and registering new widget in your child theme that displays most viewed and popular posts and not the most commented then unregister the default Sparkling Popular Posts Widget.
The above method is time consuming and will require to develop custom code so instead of modifying the default Sparkling Popular Posts Widget you can just use any of the following plugins that provides widget which displays most viewed and popular posts.
