Static front page shows Archives in content page

I have created a page (full width) and set customisation settings for static front page to the page. However the template displays Archives in content page. Is this by design? If so can I remove it as I would like my homepage to be a clean full width page which I can then edit.

OH NO!!!

My bad…I hadn’t noticed that I added the Archive widget (in error) on the “Home Page Widget 1”…you know…the one where it says…“Displays on the Home Page”…

“Issue” is solved [Goes and hides in the corner].
