The theme you tried to upload does not have a name specified in its metadata. Add a valid name to the metadata and try uploading again.

I purchased a theme, edusmart; then downloaded the *.zip. When I used the wordpress toolkit to upload theme - *.zip, it said “The theme you tried to upload does not have a name specified in its metadata. Add a valid name to the metadata and try uploading again.”

I am not installing HTML template. I am installing the entire *.zip.

never mind… I just noticed that edusmart is not a wordpress template.
