vertical images on homepage????

Hi,

Do you think would it be possible to have vertical images on the homepage, especially in the first (two) posts?
All images are cropped to horizontal according to the activello dimensions, but on my mobile I can see them as vertical - it looks much better!
Any ideas to keep image original on the main page (while seen in computer) - horizontal or vertical…
